Finding My Rhythm Again

I can’t believe it’s been two months since I last wrote—still working on finding my cadence. March truly flew by in the blink of an eye!

Over the past couple of months, I’ve packed in a lot of joyful little moments that made the days feel full. There was an aquarium playdate adventure, waterfront explorations, buttery croissants (a personal must), and a visit to the stunning downtown Seattle Public Library. I’m constantly reminded of how lucky we are to live in a city where so many experiences are just a short walk away.

I also volunteered with friends at Seattle Cocktail Week—it was a fun way to catch up, sip some creative drinks, and enjoy the buzz of the city. During Seattle Fitness Week, I checked out a few local yoga studios and even took a class at the beautiful Washington Athletic Club, which was such a treat.

To round out the month, I visited the University of Washington to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom—truly a sight that never gets old—and also made it to Opening Day for the Mariners. Baseball and blossoms: peak spring energy!

We also celebrated Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, with family. It was extra special this year seeing my niece take an interest in the traditions my mom holds dear. I gave her a bite of Ugadi pachadi, a symbolic dish made with six flavors—sweet, sour, salty, spicy, bitter, and astringent. My mom’s version had mango, banana, chili powder, and a few other surprises. Before giving her a taste, I gave her a heads-up about the mix of strong flavors. Her verdict? “I like it.” Safe to say my mom’s cooking wins again.

Here’s to a beautifully well-rounded year ahead—with a little bit of everything life has to offer.
